It's too late!

Not a bad choice for number one.  It shows that although forced, consolidation can work.

Number five was most surprising.  I would have thought that the only republican candidates to be elected in a county race would be in those where a republican must win (county commissioner, jury commissioner).

A small story deserved more attention.  The situation at the Menoher Heights Volunteer Fire Company should have us all asking how our fire departments are doing.  Can Richland cover all of Cambria and Somerset counties?

A story to watch in 2010 will be the situation in the city.  What happens if it snows after Presidents Day?

I'm always a day late and a dollar short.

Ok, let's predict some top stories for 2010:

1.  Greater Johnstown takes the day after the Superbowl off because the Steelers were not in it.
2.  Conrad Building attacks the Stonycreek River.
3.  A random former city manager sets up a lottery stand outside City Hall.
4.  The Moxham Crips Imposters are all hospitalized for hitting each other with baseball bats.
5.  The City of Johnstown, in an effort to save money, lays off Main and Vine Streets.
