How many of you remember the 77 flood? I sat on my parents back porch with my father and watched as the waters kept getting higher an higher. The winds were very strong, trees an limbs were flying  everywhere.  We lived up on a hill so we didn't have any damage. That is one flood I will never forget.

I was at Ferndale's festival and can remember how black the sky was ... when the creek at the bottom of D Street flooded headed to higher grounds with my mother. Watch events unfold from the Incline the next day..

I remember watching the All Star game and how bad it was storming out and then the power went out. I remember I had never seen and until this day have never seen lightning that lit up the sky as it did that night.

I was only 10 years old. I do remember the storm, but pretty much slept through it. What I remember most was getting up in the morning and seeing branches and debris laying around and then our whole family walked to "The Rock"=A very large rock nested in the side of the hill in Daisytown, over looking Johnstown. Man you could see all of Johnstown and what I remember most was seeing the bride with houses and cars wedged against it and all the water!

We lived in Daisytown, and I remember my farther saying he was up all night listening to the police scanner, and that he was worried the water would reach us that is how bad it sounded. There was no chance of that happening because Daisytown is way up on top of a hill from the city. He also said that he was thinking about what we could use if we needed a boat and that he was thinking of taking the cap off the truck, flipping it upside down to use as a boat!! LOL! I said, Dad, if the water would come up this high, we all would be in trouble!
