Pitt has been a surpirse this year. Jamie Dixon doing a nice job. 3 road wins in a row for the 1st time in team history in beating #5 Syracuse, Cincinnati, and #15 Connecticut!!!
Also, I saw Dejuan Blair had 28 points and 21 rebounds last night for the Spurs

Pitt may have already clinched a spot in the NCAA tourney.
Perhaps this year will be the year they defeat a higher seeded team.

I have not had the opportunity to watch them very much this year. I know they had some key guys out early in the season.....Syracuse is the real deal. UCONN and Cincy have nice teams...
They have trouble in the NCAA's.

I don't follow PITT BB all that much. That said Alf, is UConn down a little this year? And I agree with you, PITT has been a pleasant surprise.

i think UCONN is young. They got two good seniors in Jerome Dyson and Stanley Robinson, but they are inconsistent. Still, those two guys are good ballplayers. Pitt's team seems to be coming together really well, while UCONN appears to be the opposite. Players need to step up and need to start maturing. I think you're seeing that with PITT.

Pitts 31 game home winning streak ends.....I thought they had the opportunity to win that game.
Georgetown couldn't miss on the three's.......Pitt's defense not real sharp last night.

Bad loss yesterday. Too many turnovers. Former Aliquippa star Herb Pope had a nice game for Seton Hall.....

Another bad loss........they really need to beat teams like South Florida.
I get the feeling their rise in the rankings went to their heads.....they have not been the same.

WVU wins.....backyard brawl was just that. Typical fan behavior, throwing stuff on the court.

The return to Earth is complete.
At least the loss to USF isn't looking so bad now.

Pitt shoots up to number 12. Let's see how they react this time. They are tough to beat when they play good defense.

Big East Tourney starts today. Pitt grabs second seed.
How many BE teams will make it to the NCAA? at least 6? Syracuse, Pitt, WVU, Villanova, Louisville, I think are locks. Notre Dame? Marquette?
Could the Big East get 2 #1 seeds in the NCAA? maybe Syracuse and WVU.
