Digital transfer of vinyl audio...
It is hot among audiophiles these days...

I've been listening to some, and they ROCK!!

They don't have the over-processed, levels-saturated sound of CD's these days. Instead they have a "warmer", more realistic sound (to me, most modern CD's and digital audio sounds like the recording was done by pushing the EQ levels to the max just to get loudness for the sake of loudness... they're horrible.)

Here's what I've been listening to recently (thanks for most of them to to PBTHAL's blog... where he runs 'em off the vinyl using the best possible pressings of the release) --

--Alan Parsons Project - (1977) "I Robot"
----Original UK First Pressing

--Led Zeppelin - (1969) "Led Zeppelin II"
----US First Pressing Mastered by Robert Ludwig

--Steely Dan - (1975) "Katy Lied"
----Original US First Pressing White Label Promo

--Tommy Bolin - (1976) "Private Eyes"
----Original US White Label Promo

--Rolling Stones - (1969) "Let It Bleed"
----Decca First Pressing Vinyl

--ZZ Top - (1979) "Deguello"
----US First Pressing Mastered By Robert Ludwig

--Allman Brothers Band - (1971) "At Fillmore East"
----Original US First Pressing-Pink Capricorn Label

A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.
