When I first got out of High School in 85, I moved to Ocean City, Md to work.   I used a moped down there all summer.  During the last week of summer I got pulled over, I never knew you had to have a motorcycle liscense to drive a moped.  I got a ticket and had to walk to work that last week.   Amazing the things you don't know when you leave home.

That depends on the state. Last three I lived in there was no special license needed.

From what I understand you only need a motorcycle license to operate a moped in OC if it is over 50cc's. My family and I rented from a place on 54th Street last summer and didn't have to have a motorcycle license just a valid driver's license.
