yes troops are in harms way but haven't many said that is what they volunteered for? I want NO ONE HURT/DEAD but if the Commander of Allied forces makes a statement that 'hearts & minds' MUST BE WON then the troops must make CERTAIN INNOCENTS are not injured ---- these WARS are tricky things and WHY negotiations are always the better way to settle disputes

Does the enemy use this as propaganda? Hell yes it does. That goes without saying. The good guys understand this and practice this, it's not always 100% perfect. Yes, you do have a supporter in our president who said the same stupid thing as you. Yes, these men and women volunteered but they really have a right to expect better than to be told you have to take fire and not return it. You and our president should be at the front of the troops when that fire is incoming.

 service folks have the opportunity to retire after 20 yrs service AND get VA  bennies as well as ability to shop at commisaries with cheap booze/smokes & other niceties AND they are typically respected when in uniform

so when the Taliban forces women and children to walk in front of them while the Taliban shoots at our troops -you want to to do what?   when they started this crap about protecting civilians they put the civilians in more danger then before.  They did this is Iraq too.  My nephew talks about it and the difficult choices they had to make.
