I am thinking that his mind is adjusting everything to make the world make sense to him for his own sake.  That is why I posted it and that is why if anyone gives me flak I really don't care.  This just shows how ignorant some people can be when it comes to the words written in the Bible, and the way they figure out how to interpret them.  I mean how can you go from not allowed to lay with the same sex to Jesus was a gay man.  Oh yeah can you say I live in my own reality and I don't care if it is totally wrong.  Well that is what Elton is saying.

I agree with you. Shocking, I know, but it's the truth.  We may not agree on the delivery, but we agree on the message.

People will try to justify their behavior in any way they can. Many people are going to be surprised someday, because they've been leading people astray.

IMHO, it's not the church's fault that they are declining and losing members. It's not the message they preach that is out of touch. Society in general has decided that the message isn't relevant any more, and are trying to justify all sorts of wrong behavior. A lot of what passes for "worship" in churches today is so far out in left field...My opinion...

That said, we have to walk that fine line between condemning sinners and showing Christ's love to them.

I don't think we should condemn sinners because then I would be condemning myself as well.  The harder part is showing Christ's love to them, that can be quite the over ride of human nature.

Wiener, with all jesting aside .. religion is a very personal thing that is taken seriously by each of us I am sure. We might not always agree on "wording" of things but overall, we all believe. I want to thank you for your constant encouragement to save our souls and for taking my abuse. While many of us have elected you to fight battle with over the subject matter, know that it is not directed at your personally.

Whew, I feel better now. Can I go to Heaven now?
