I not sure what kind of draw this is going to get?

Pro bull riders stampeding to arena

The Professional Bull Riders Inc. will make its next stop on a new PBR Touring Pro Division in Johnstown.

The tour will take over the Cambria County War Memorial on April 23 and 24 for two days of bull riding action at the PBR Johnstown Invitational Touring Pro Division.

About 40 of the top riders each will face off against 2,000 pounds of bovine fury for two hours of nonstop action.

The PBR promises an up-close look at this tough sport, surrounded by pyrotechnics, fireworks and rock music.

The action will begin at 7:30 p.m. both days.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday and can be purchased at the War Memorial box office, by phone at (800) 745-3000, or online at ticketmaster.com.

Discounts are available for groups of 14 or more people.

For information about group sales, contact Patty Blue at 536-5156, ext. 148, or pblue@warmemorialarena.com.

I bet they sell more tickets then any of you think.  Johnstown war memorial doesn't just put on shows for the citizens of J-town.  If they did all they would have in there is whining competitions.

Wiener, that is the funniest thing I have ever heard! Grin

Isn't it funny? First there's complaints about nothing being brought here by promoters, then there's complaints about the type of shows brought in?

A little info from site:

"The Enterprise Tour is our newest competitive series and features both current and upcoming PBR Stars.

The PBR Enterprise Tour is an exciting new series catering to both current and future stars. All prize money won on the Enterprise Tour will count towards qualification for the Challenger Tour Finals and Built Ford Tough World Finals. "

Now this is SUPER BULLS.......It's a qualifier folks.......

The one on Nov 19 was Michael W Smith sponsored by the Christian promoter Generation Exodus.  They are bringing in big name artists in TobyMac and Skillet on March 20th at 7pm.   See the billboards all over the region for that concert.  That one should sell out much like the MWS concert in November.  Hopefully they continue to bring in some concerts to the arena.  BTW Skillet does the NBC Sunday Night Football commercial song 'Hero'.  They also have a song 'Monster' that some of the college conferences used to promote games this past season.

Thanks for the information, Millcreek. I've never been to a rodeo, I think I'll give it a try. If nothing else, it's something different.

I keep thinking about Windber's Arcadia Theatre. They seem to do well with their venues, when they have them. Maybe Johnstown should hire new promoters
