Last night's council meeting was again cancelled. I guess they get April Fool's Day Eve off. New city manager, parking bureau in disarray, a need for funding after the big tax hike, yet another business closing downtown.........naw, you're right guys, nothing to talk about. Take the day off, you still get paid for the meeting you didn't have........

Who makes the decision to cancel the meeting? Is the new city manager overwhelmed? What has she accomplished to this point or is it too early to determine? {Why am I asking all these questions?}

I feel quite sure that "King Jack" makes that decision. Just like every other decision during the meetings. I thought the Mayor was supposed to run the meetings?

Actually, he did call it off.

So there is no clear cut direction for this outfit. No agenda. Nothing on the table that needs immediate attention or decision-making?
Maybe they realized it's Holy Week...........

It's probably worse than you know. I am just waiting for the day when the employees go to the bank to cash their checks and they bounce.

I heard a councilman telling someone this morning that it was cancelled.

Are we looking at the crash of j-town? Collapsing from the inside out?

How could something at rock bottom collapse any further?

Because it is still attempting to function in some manners so that means it has not collapsed completely yet.
