They heard I was warming up.......

Check out this information from one of the Milwaukee Brewers sites.  Compare the players playing for the Brewers vs Pirates.  We know the Pirates have done a horrendous job with draft picks and developing players.

He was probably in shock from the Friday night exploits of Andy LaRoche, Akinori Iwamura and Garrett Jones.

plus....... Andrew Mccutchen, the thrid base coach, etc, etc, etc..............should have taken 2 of 3 from the division leading Cardinals.......could have crept closer to 1st place......

Didn't see the play from Friday but at least in 12 of their 17 losses it hasn't even been close.  Turn 3 or 4 of the other 5 around and they are at .500 and closer to the division lead as well as possibly ahead of Milwaukee at least.  This team is close but they need to keep the mental mistakes such as the Friday thing away and they will be fine.  The talent coming up through Indy and 'toona has been winners at the lower levels and now they just need to get it to the major league level.  I give Huntington and Connelly until the All-Star Break in 2011 to show that there is a serious turnaround happening.

I can't say anything about the Milledge play in left yesterday because I saw the exact same thing happen against the Cubs in extra innings about 2 years ago now.  Can't recall who their left fielder was on that Sunday afternoon but it was a very similar type fly ball IIRC.
