The new federal health-care law has raised the stakes for hospitals and schools already scrambling to train more doctors.

Experts warn there won't be enough doctors to treat the millions of people newly insured under the law. At current graduation and training rates, the nation could face a shortage of as many as 150,000 doctors in the next 15 years, according to the Association of American Medical Colleges.
That shortfall is predicted despite a push by teaching hospitals and medical schools to boost the number of U.S. doctors, which now totals about 954,000.

Oh there will be no lines, no one will die while waiting to just see the Doctor.   Won't it be so much fun?

On top of this the science guy for Obama now states that our children are not allowed to be the leader in such catagories anymore.  Welcome to the Change folks hope you really, really enjoy this as it all unfolds.

Change the rich peopel can get behind.  Boy are the poor even stipidier than predicted.

IMHO, the solution to a doctor shortage should not be to provide health care to fewer people, but instead to provide more doctors and better wellness programs.

Not sure what the science advisor thing is.....?

Healthcare isn't that easy.  Not everyone can be in healthcare, you have to be of a certain personality to make it in that job.  Unless of course we pay them a ridiculous amount of wage then most people can be bought.  Of course that would defeat the purpose of making it cheaper.
Now will all of these new jobs be where people want to live?
Or will this required managed housing and placement by the Government entity in charge of this SNAFU?

Just thoughts the same I had prior to the passing of this bill into law, I am sure the ones writing the law thought of all these variables prior to writing it.  Then they have stated that it can be tweaked along the way to get where they want to be.  Who knows where the leaders really want to be with Healthcare?   Hm...  questions all valid and yet non were ever asked to congress, or where they?
