OK, to those I offend I apologize, but I have to say this.

WHAT RECREATION?  Why doesn't anyone that works for the newspaper ask what "duties" the public works director now has to to in addition to his normal job?  The Colt League has 3 teams.  Three!  How hard is it to make a 3 team schedule?  If it's too hard, use the one from last year and change the dates like you always do.  Give me 20 minutes and I'll have it done.

So, the YMCA is going to oversee the Tennis and Volleyball league?  Great, because no one ever did before, except when the got in the way.  The city has been nothing but a detriment to the tennis league.  THE CITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EITHER THE VOLLEYBALL OR THE TENNIS LEAGUE.  NOTHING.  NOTHING.  The league even buys its own insurance.  Last year they were too cheap to even turn on the lights.  The tennis league, because of its honesty, actually pays to use the courts.  No one else does, and trust me, no one in the city has any idea what goes on.

The AAABA league is run outside the city.  Has been for many years.  Their director lives in Westmont.  The city has little to do with it.  The public works director is overburdened, huh?  Try getting them to unclog one of the dozen of sewers in the city that has been clogged for years and overflows every time it rains.  Obama has a better chance of getting the tea party people to sign on with socilaized medicine.

It just angers me that the article makes it seem like there's this big void.  No one will notice the difference with or without the YMCA.  I'm sure it will give them another excuse to raise rates next year.
