I know what it's like to live in a place like Johnstown and go for years looking for a job that never materializes, so i just want to pass along a little reliable info to anyone who might be interested. I live in Wyoming near yellowstone park, but i get around most of northern wyoming and southern montana almost daily. I talk to alot of people and always ask how things are locally.
I heard first hand from people that went there that North Dakota, especially the Dickinson and Williston areas are booming and hiring like mad. My firend went there and in one day found a job for 20+ bucks an hour and is working almost 90 hours a week. He went from making 300 a week here to about 7000 a month there. I hear that there are signs up all over town for help wanted and you can get a job the day you get there. I'm not talking service jobs, I'm talking good money. Construction, mining, ranch work, oil and gas drilling and so on. If you are at the end of your rope in Johnstown you could probably make a good living in North Dakota.
If i was out of work and had no prospects i wouldn't hesitate to make that move.
Again, this is very reliable info. just trying to be helpful to any young folks who might want to spread their wings, or any family men that need a good paying job.

The states currrently growing the fastest are the 9 the don't require you to pay income tax.  What a novel idea.
