No one ever mentions why the taxes are so high.

700 homes for every business.  How can the state conclude that such a district deserves one third of what everyone else gets?

Westmont should consolidate with the City of Johnstown.

This is the most expensive house listed in Westmont, Nice, but feels more like a hunting camp than a home to me.

The first one has taxes of over $7500 per year.  Crazy.  They got off cheap.  Look at this one.......selling for about half the price, and the taxes are $9500 a year.

Something has to be done.  People can't afford to be paying $600 or more a month in taxes.

Most likely out of town.................or to the city school district, maybe in Lower Yoder or Stoneycreek Township...........where they can pay next to nothing in taxes.

There's a very large apartment building opening soon in Richland.  Who's moving in there?

I have heard that it is allready filled or nearly filled. I have said before Westmont and all of Johnstown is aging and dieing off at a alarming pace. Who is going to buy all the homes for sale in 10 yrs? The only people moving into this area are the trash Kanuch recruits for all his govt subsidized housing.

Speaking of new apt. buildings whatever happened with those Mock Tower Lofts? Last I heard they were having trouble selling them.

The first one is in Upper Yoder on Coon Ridge while the one you found is on Parkview in the borough.  That is where the biggest tax difference comes from.  Not sure how the school district taxes are on them but the municipality plays a big role.  I agree something needs to be done but when you have those out there who brag what they pay a year in taxes when a business wants to relocate to the area nothing will get done.

Are the taxes public info?  Do you have a link?
