A lot of the homes are for sale because two enormous new apartment complexes just opened. Greystone Place in Richland and Cambridge Place in Davidsville. Who wants to have a yard and a house to take care of when you can have a new place to live and hardly a care in the world. No maintenance, no taxes, no brainer.
I'd wager if you took a survey you'd find that the majority of homes for sale across the entire J-town area are of people 50+ who are moving into retirement communities.
From my persepctive, you are dead-on. My parents moved into one of those and my neighbor moved into the other, both from WHSD.
