That is just it we can't prevent the Mosque from being built.  I think most understand that, we can voice our displeasure at such an insult to our senses, the pain the issue causes but we can't prevent it.

But if we don't bother to voice our displeasure are we Unamerican?

I don't know the answer to that one.  Does it offend me if you don't want to voice your displeasure?  No, you are free to feel and live how you want, your choice, your outcome.

I believe in the old adage "Pick your battles wisely."

There were several American Indian tribes that inhabited what is now New York City.  Where are they?

There were several American Indian tribes that inhabited what is now New York City.  Where are they?

Believe it or not when this nation was first founded the Indian nations all of them were recognized as being sovereign.  It wasn't until the mid 1800's that dare I say a progressive President decided we needed that land and declared war on the Indians that for almost 100 years enjoyed being who they wanted to be.  They were equal under the law and had all the rights of any white man.

It is almost as scary a story as when Teddy being of sound mind claimed all that land for the federal Government.  I love my parks in every state but could not the states have decided this for themselves instead of the feds jumping on toes and rights?

We all need to climb down from the fence and decide what kind of nation we want because in the end we are the rulers and it is our country not the Governments.  We may elect them and they may have lied to get elected and that era needs to go away.  If we can't find men of Honor to run for office then we might as well just dissolve the union and let the fighting begin.
