Left Johnstown this morning in t-shirt and jeans.... hit Raleigh sweating hating every minute of it!  I'm ready for cool weather!!

There is a healthy scattering of pre-autumn leaves over in my field. I crunch through them daily when I'm taking the dogs out. I've also noticed some coloring in the leaves of my maple trees already, even though it will be weeks before they really begin to change.

Autumn is my favorite time of year, but I don't look forward to winter quite the way I used to.

The other day, my daughter and I were returning home from shopping and a slew of bright yellow leaves were falling off the trees onto the road. My daughter said look mommy it's snowing yellow leaves! She was so excited. It was rather pretty to see.
