Okay, as many on here know, I got a new "male" puppy about six months ago.  Poor little thing is soo cute, BUT he is a male.  Not sure I thought ahead but Frankie, my female older dog is in heat!  Actually, I think more like dogpause .. she is obviously giving off the right "come get me" hormones because it is driving him wild.  Other than getting him fixed, what other options do I have to quiet his frustration?  Something tells me tonight is going to be a rather long, long night   Undecided

This probably isn't much of an answer K...but, could you try and isolate them...keep them seperated far from one another in your home.

Or, would a good friend keep Frankie until, as they say, all things shall pass.

I have  feeling it is Frankie, but Jumper discovered his bed ... so at least he has quit crying!  Thanks for the suggestions ...  just never had to deal with this before.

once when we had a shepard in heat we put a diaper on her so she wouldn't spot in the house, I have no idea whether that would help or not.

It's amazing that I have been a dog owner all of my life and never knew that the female while does not spot when older - does go through the cycle still giving off the scent.   Dogs are acting "semi-normal" today and playing so, for now, all is well.  The dog can keep his...  (ouch)

Thanks for the suggestions.
