Wiener, you asked me who said "And the Lord of Heavens army will say Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the rod of my anger, and Insrael, my inheritance". I said Isaiah said it for God, he was a prophet. IT'S OLD TESTAMENT AND UNDENIABLE.
I never said John the Baptists name in the post. You-Did!
As far as john the Baptist goes, he wasn't "with" Jesus. John had his own work. He went to prison, and sent his followers to Jesus asking "Are you the ONE we look for, or should we look for another"? Thats what John wanted to know.  I think he wanted Jesus to exercise his authority and set up his kingdom right away. John was  about to get executed.
