For the "return of Jesus" people

The following text is from the Didache [Di-duh-KEY] The teaching of the 12 disciples. The disciples were taught directly by Jesus, and not everything Jesus said and taught were in the Gospels. The Didache is useful. The text dates to around 90 A.D. , about the time of the writing of the Revelation.
This is a very important and very enlightening text. BEFORE Jesus comes, satan comes. And decieves the WHOLE EARTH.
The Didache didn't make it into the bible. Mostly, i think, because it expressly forbids abortion, which the romans were very adept at.
The bible was meant to be empire friendly. It was created and edited with that goal in mind. The didache is the teaching of the 12 disciples to the gentiles. Very important if you are of white european descent. The Didache, in my mind, should have been included in the bible, right after the gospels and before the Acts of the Apostles.
You'll notice that the deciever comes as the son of god.
And he WILL DO great signs and wonders to convince the world that he is Jesus.
One more INTERESTING point: The FIRST of the SIGNS OF TRUTH is, AN OUTSPREADING OF THE HEAVENS. I have no idea what an "outspreading in the heavens means."
Watchfulness; the Coming of the Lord. Watch for your life's sake. Let not your lamps be quenched, nor your loins unloosed; but be ready, for you know not the hour in which our Lord will come. But come together often, seeking the things which are befitting to your souls: for the whole time of your faith will not profit you, if you are not made perfect in the last time. For in the last days false prophets and corrupters shall be multiplied, and the sheep shall be turned into wolves, and love shall be turned into hate; for when lawlessness increases, they shall hate and persecute and betray one another, and then shall appear the world-deceiver as Son of God, and shall do signs and wonders, and the earth shall be delivered into his hands, and he shall do iniquitous things which have never yet come to pass since the beginning. Then shall the creation of men come into the fire of trial, and many shall be made to stumble and shall perish; but those who endure in their faith shall be saved from under the curse itself. And then shall appear the signs of the truth: first, the sign of an outspreading in heaven, then the sign of the sound of the trumpet. And third, the resurrection of the dead -- yet not of all, but as it is said: "The Lord shall come and all His saints with Him." Then shall the world see the Lord coming upon the clouds of heaven.

Revelation teaches the same thing, do you really think people are that stupid and you are that smart. Come on now, I am beginning to think you are one of the fallen angels that Enoch spoke of, a deceiver, a false prophet just another nut to avoid in the loop of life.

Do i really think people are that stupid and i am that smart? Huh? What, in my post makes you think that i am a false prophet , fallen angel, or deciever? I merely posted text from a website about the didache and added my own thoughts, you can make up your own mind. Misguoting, flat out making **** up, and distortion is your thing.

Revelations says the same thing. You type as if it has something different from the last book of the Bible, you know the only one that hasn't been fulfilled yet.

JM, I saw nothing in your text that says anything new.
What exactly was your point?
Basically, I see the same as wiener. A man who is bent on making sure we all know that he is superior to everyone else. And failing miserably.

Revelations says the same thing? I didn't know that. Where is that didache text in Revelations?

Come now you said in your statement that it was written about the same time as Revelations and yet you have never read it? That makes no sense.

The Didache, another, at best, third-hand account of the alleged teachings of Jesus was probably drawn from at least four different sources, and has nothing remarkable to recommend its authenticy over any other first or second century religious text. In fact, research indicates the the Didache was written some time after the Gospel of Mark. Further, a substantial portion othe the Didache appears similar in style and message to the alleged writings of Paul, upon whom, if memory serves, you have not gazed favorably in previous posts. Pick and choose what you want, and rave on.

How could you see a new thing in a 200 year old text. i just posted an excerpt from the Didache.
As for my point, look at the thread title and my prose before the text that i posted.
And for as far as what you and wiener see, i couldn't care any less if i tried. You and her are just a couple of miserable people who like to sit at a keyboard and insult people all day. I have no respect for you or her. And i really couldn't care any less about what you two- or anybody else- thinks of me. MY SELF-ESTEEM AND DIGNITY ARE NOT THAT FRAGILE. Anonymous cowards sitting at a keyboard and hiding behind a monitor have zero effect on me. i just laugh at you. You can laugh at me, and i can laugh at you - makes no difference to me. No skin off my back.
But, unlike you and wiener, I don't look for reasons to make personal attacks. i try to respect others rights to express themselves and state their opinion on matters.

what does all that have to do with the title and content of my post? I posted it because I'm sure that a lot of people are not familiar with the text and the specific content that i posted. As far as Pauls writings go, there were literally hundreds , and perhaps thousands, of writings that were attributed to Paul. How anyone can claim to authenticate them based on similar syle and message is beyond me. While its true that writers have their own unique style, I don't think Paul wrote all the letters attributed to him in the bible. If you erased usernames here, and allowed people to post without an account, you could tell some writers from others, but mostly, you wouldn't be able to tell one writer from another. Sure, wieners posts would be attributed to her by her stylt, and me by my stly, but could you tell the difference between cuitizen x and mr. johnstown. Some people purposely tried to counterfiet Pauls prose. I could write a letter and copy Pauls style and message. I could copy The rocks style and message, or several other posters style and message. Nowadays, we call them sock puppets.

YOU said that revelations says the same thing. i said that i didn't know that and ask you to provide chapter and verse of where that Didache text , or similar message, appears in revelations. I never said i never read revelations, i said that i never read in revelations the things you claim are there.

read my thread title, AND THE PRE-TEXT THAT I PROVIDED. What "IS" YOUR problem with it?
It is merely a snippet of text from the Didache. Everybody is looking for Jesus to return, when , in reality, the scriptures say that satan is coming forst,a nd all the world will believe that he is Jesus by his signs and wonders- AND HE WILL BE A SCRIPTURE EXPERT.

Jesus said "He who has eyes will see, and ears will hear." So if anyone is a true follower of Jesus and the Word then they won't be deceived by any false prophet. Satan or others.
Now since you claim to be such a strong believer, of what we don't know as of yet, why would you not know that Jesus himself warned of these things to come?

Me thinks you just want to inherit Heaven and are a braggart of such and if you know the words of Christ braggarts don't get that far.

My own opinion is that Andrew, the brother of Peter, is the writer of the Didache. Of course, I have no proof, just theory. And a weak theory at that, but its just as valid as anybody else's theory. To me, if you are using style and message as a measure of authorship, i would be much much much more inclined to give authorship to the Apostle john, rather than Paul.
The message end seems Peter-like, but the style is more low-key than Peter was. I think the subject matter came from Peter, a type A extrovert, and was written by his low-key, introverted younger brother, Andrew. The text is loaded with admonishments, but written gently. Neither Pauls nor Peters style. I could be wrong, but someone recently said something about the book being written by a scribe named Leo, and dictated to him by an unknown Apostle. Most of the text jibes with the rest of scripture, much like the gospels jibe with each other.
I posted the text because you never hear christians preaching anything about satan coming to rule the earth before Jesus gets here, and satan actually is able to pass himself off as Jesus. The devil ain't dumb. The whole world will be decieved. Plus, the signs of truth are very interesting. "The spreadingout of heaven" - what is that?
