And the starting QB didn't even show up in time.  Have to wonder how long this will last even though they have gone further than I thought they would.  Plus the coach wasn't with the team?  What is up with that?

Coach not showing up?  You're kidding

Maybe a drunk fan could call the signals.

Not kidding WDVE.  It is in the article near the end that the defensive coordinator ran the team.

BTW Mickey Mouse is highly offended by calling it a 'Mickey Mouse organization'.  At least Mickey and his cronies at Disney have some class.

16 pts is a disgrace. I'd much rather pay $ to watch a local high school baseball game than see the Generics for free.

This happened during the last installment of indoor football in town. The team made the playoffs and the quarterback had to miss the game because he had to work.

HaHa Tiger I was just about to refer to poor Mickey again too...!  No, this is nothing but a big sham that isn't at all deserving of the press coverage it is getting. Even in a small town where little to nothing ever happens.
Poor Mike Masto, with the Chiefs leaving town he is reduced to covering this latest Haines wide world of sports production. And our poor city manager has to sleep at night knowing she ruined not only Johnstowns golden opportunity at professional baseball but is responsible solely for the demise of the Ultimate Baseball League itself....All five teams of it, three of which we are not at liberty to identify at this time....

At least Mickey can run a competent winning organization.  Look no further than 2002 when the Angels won the World Series.  Then the Ducks went to the Stanley Cup Final in 2003 against New Jersey(BTW Dan Bylsma was a member of the Ducks).  The Cup came in 2007 after Disney sold them but the winning ways were in place.  The Generals are a Charlie Brown organizaion.

BTW still not sure why the Tribune won't put the true facts out there about Haines and his not paying players in the MAHL.  Jamestown, NY will never allow Haines or any of his cronies to step foot into that city again.  Also here is news from Saginaw about the latest football venture.

The Tribune shies away from telling it like it is most of the time.

And they won't even publish the facts when given the proof in the comments section.  Did you check my link Cobnobuler?  Very interesting and yet Chip won't let it be published.  May have to take the next step and put in a letter to the editor to see where that goes.  But I am seriously thinking of waiting for the other shoe to drop with the football and why Dinkins isn't playing in Johnstown any longer(I do have my suspicions on that).

I sure did and while reading it, I thought the same thing, at least SOME of this story needs to be told as well in order to address all sides of the subject, and thats what journalism is supposed to accomplish to begin with. There is a slant in this way that the Tribune has always practiced and you the reader dont always get the whole story, and this is a good example of that.
