Washington Street was just paved a month ago and yesterday the gas company started tearing it up to (apparently) replace the gas lines. Surely, there must be a way to prevent this waste of time and money, and to minimize traffic tie-ups.

ring the history and intelligence of the people in charge of the city, someone finally smelled gas and decided to look into it.............highly doubtful this was scheduled preventative maintanence, but who really knows..................a
nd again, how much traffic can really be 'tied-up' in the city of Johnstown, Pa?

Are people literally backed up for 'hours' on Washington Street?
