Sounds like Duck, Kitty Hawk area will take it on the chin.  I stayed in Duck in May.

Wind and rain, lots of wind!  Sky was beautiful yesterday evening, had the dogs at the lake and one side was dark layers of blue and gray the other, orange shades from the sunset.  Only cloud was the one from the nuclear plant

Coastal flooding issues will reach the New York City area Saturday night into Sunday morning prior to Irene slamming onshore during the day.
