Occupy Wallstreets list of demands
«

Isn't this something you usually have when you are holding someone hostage? A list of demands?

They are all a bit amusing but my favorites are #4, 11 and 12. Seriously do they think the rest of us paying our own way are gonna stand for this?

#11 is amusing on the surface but sad when you read into it. If people have no debt, there is a lot of extra money which virtually eliminates the need for any pay increases. So those rich employers will continue to get richer with nothing to even slow down the growing gap between the rich and the middle class. For decades there was the argument that banks did not loan fairly and held back the middle class. Now the argument is that the middle class has too much debt and that debt should be forgiven. Pretty sad

not really "they", the list was in a forum on the site where one guy, LloydJHart (Vineyard Haven, MA), posted a list. This would be the equivalent of pbal having to answer for the **** i put up on here.

I don't see any of them on the street crying out that the one man that is stepping forward doesn't represent them as a whole. Just a bunch of disorganized children throwing a fit over things we just rolled with when we were younger. You do realize that the majority of them in the group don't even have a fully developed brain yet?

there are thousands of post on there, it does not surprise me that nobody is stepping forward, as nobody has probably read it. without looking through the forum i am curious how the blogger at the wash times chose this one mans list to label it as the manifesto for the protest.

I spoke to someone today getting into the "zombie" outfit. When I questioned her about it and asked what it all meant, she said, " I don't know".
I would imagine quite a few of these people marching and "sitting in" have similar knowledge, or, lack of.

I know I saw one interview with a girl and she was asked that if a CEO offered her a job would she take it. She stated "No Fing Way" They want things handed to them and they don't want to have to work for any of it. Sad, sad weeks for the American people that this is what some have raised.
Another boy was interviewed and he said "Down with the capitalist system" When the reporter asked him what are you going to replace it with he just went blank in the face. They have no idea what they are doing just that what they are doing is making TV.

If these people were truly interested in feeding the hungry rather than exploiting them, they'd each buy jars of peanut butter and jelly, and a loaf of bread, and fan out over NYC doing just that. Think of the change they could ACTUALLY affect, on themselves and others, if only they were proactive rather than reactive.

I think you all are missing the point they are trying to make. Our system does not lend any kind of support to the average american. When have you felt less powerful or more helpless as a citizen of this country. Big business, big money and the military industrial complex is getting government support while the average american is taking on water at an alarming rate. Although i would do things different than they have chosen to their movement is gaining support.

You're missing MY point. Eff the system. The system has never helped anybody and never will. You really want to help somedody? Go help them. It's that easy. Stop relying, or blaming it, on some illusory system that only exists in your mind. And stop trying to force me to help somebody just because you think I should. And get TF off my Facebook feed.

I agree these able bodied kids and some adults want hand outs and are whining about how the system needs to help everyone. Well if someone needs help get the f up off your asses and go help them out that is what we are here for not just to suck off of someone else. If you don't like the corporations then don't buy their ****. If you don't like the banks then don't use them. If you don't like people then don't talk to them. It all seems very simple when you exclude the government as a choice for doing what everyday people should be doing.

I am just waiting for some states to realize that those there on unemployment/welfare aren't in their home state anymore and the states stops their compensation/welfare. They will quickly head home after that happens.
