Better hurry and kill that messenger:

But now, with the “60 Minutes” story scheduled to air Sunday night, Pelosi’s office has gone on the attack against Schweizer, a New York Times bestselling author, dismissing him as just a “conservative writer.”

You know it, can't have the people thinking we are making money like any American wants too and yet they give billions away each year of tax payer money to small very focused groups.   Shame on all politician's I say shame on them.

Thank you 60 minutes for routing out such evil as this, now if we can just get people to open their eyes to the truth than maybe we could get rid of all the scum that has been elected for decades.

"While Congressman Bachus was publicly trying to keep the economy from cratering, he was privately betting that it would, buying option funds that would go up in value if the market went down. He would make a variety of trades and profited at a time when most Americans were losing their shirts."  from article.

It only makes sense that polticians are required to not be invested in anything that could be subject to congressional actions, which is damn near everything.  While Pelosi's response was very evasive, Boehners response was not very convincing either, so it's not a partisan thing.  Since the term "fair" comes up quite often, it does not seem "fair" that those in a position to have long range effects on some key markets can also invest in those markets.
I have a hunch that many people in office made a lot of money selling property for the going rate, to only have the new owner experience drastic drops in property value.  Then after those drastic drops, the people who are now under water on their loan are encouraged to protest the lender who provided the money for the cost at time of purchase, not the seller who  actually received that bigger check.
