Tim Rigby announced on the 6pm newscast, that tonight (thursday night) will be his last newscast. I wonder what is behind this?

Its kind of hard to believe that WJAC can't afford the salary of an experienced news/sportscaster in a secondary market and so much so that they would be willing to gamble with the quality of its product which, aside from Marty and Tim, is not especially good now as it is.
( C,mon now, Martys pretty good at it )
