RU486 is an abortion pill. The morning after pill is contraception.

And if you think adoption is a good choice, feel free to read this website, or any of the thousands of websites and blogs like it. There's always another side to the story other than the one you hear.

Indeed. Or the one you tell.

Why don't we try to respect one another.

I am sure there have been abuses. I am equally sure many have told a fabricated story to help deal with the quilt.

Lexi would you rather we go back to state run orphanages?  I am sure they were much better right?  If I were to give up a infant to adoption in today's world there would be an agreement that in some way, shape, or form I would get to see and insure my child was in a good environment and I think many deals like that today are made.  It is after all not the world of the 50's where you had the child, never see the child and don't get any choice in what happens or who gets the child.   I know quite a few adopted people and they are all very happy with what happened to them but they have questions about why.

If the morning after pill is just what it say it is then it isn't a birth contraceptives you can tell yourself anything you want but if a baby was made in that union then all it is doing is making it impossible for the fertilized egg to attach to the uterus wall which in my world would be abortion for you are forcing it to not be born instead of being born.  From what I understand most birth contraception trick a woman's body into thinking it is already pregnant which means you aren't releasing any eggs to be fertilized.  Huge difference.

There's also the age limit to consider.  It seems as though the morning after pill is being accepted as an option for those 17 and over so maybe their is concern for those under 17 having longterm health problems.  I can't imagine the pro-life folks drawing an age line for something they vehemently oppose.
