Having just paid my highest electric bill ever I notice I continue to get bombarded with offers to change my electric supplier. Although I sent in an application months ago to go with FirstEnergy my bill continues to go up and up. Is this all a racket or what?
Sheetz increased its gas by a dime overnight. It's $3.45 in Kernville but was still $3.35 in Ligonier. What's next increasing the cost of cheese to $1.09?
A 10 oz bag of Herr's potato chips is marked $4.79.
My mortgage payment went up $40 per month to help pay for a new elementary school.
The kid's health insurance went up in midstream.
The lameduck county commissioners handed out 50 cent per hour raises for the next five years which will increase taxes even more.
How much should I give to the Boy Scouts, Robin Quillon? Couldn't they at least sell me some cookies?

Simple, do not buy potato chips! The price ranges from 3.06 too 3.40 a pound! You can get a pound of banana's for 39/40 cents, and they are better for you! You can get 5 pound of potatoes for 2.99, which is better for you baked with limited topping of course, than a greasy fried potato chip!
Actually it is more expensive to eat junk that it is real, fresh, good for you foods! I read an article once that said the poorer a person is the more likely to be obese! How can that be ,with junk food at way more per pound than good food? You shouldn't be able to afford junk food if you are poor right?

Junk food (BK, McD's and others) used to be way cheaper with the shrinking of the burgers I don't even go there anymore for a burger I can make a better and bigger one at home. Some do seem drawn to that dollar menu thing they have now though.

Sounds like you should occupy something, like maybe Sheetz first then maybe the Boy Scouts if time allows.

You can get a 3.75 oz bag of Utz chips for 99 cents at Ideal Market.
Now where can I get savings of 35% on electricity without sacrificing taste?

Right, but problem is, most of Utz stuff kinda sucks. I ingest artery cloggers on a regular basis, but by golly I want to enjoy the experience before I take my turn on the cath lab table. The problem is, its more ( much more) than just the potato chips. More and more I find myself picking up an item, looking at it, and deciding that even though I can afford it, I dont agree that its price is worth what they're asking for it, so I put it back down. We're buying much less now than ever before and so are many other people. At least those of us that don't get the free grub stubs or Access card I guess they call it these days.

Utz's Carolina Barbecue chips are my favorite.

I have a programmable thermostat that is set at 66 when I am home and awake. It drops to 60 at night and while I'm at work.
300 gallons of heating oil cost $1001.70 last week. It's probably more this week. That's about three weeks gross pay for a Sheetz employee who works 40 hours per week.
Our sewage bills will be going up $3 per month in Johnstown.
I wonder who owns the $125,000 building in Ebensburg that the county just bought for $250,000.
