I've had my eye on a guy that I've been hoping the Steelers take since he was a freshman - Mark "superman" Barron , a Safety from Alabama. He wears number 4. You can watch him in the championship game against LSU. I hope he doesn't have a great game and falls a little in the draft.
He has Troy Polamalu written all over him. He is a beast against the run, and covers like a top CB.
I watch him every time i watch Alabama, and he always impresses me.
He is a guy that is definitely worth trading up for. If the Steelers can get him and a good RB, they can improve. They'll probably spent their picks on non-skill positions along the lines though.
I'd like to see them work a deal that could bring RB Taiwan Jones from the Raiders to the Burg. I was hoping the Steelers would take him last year.
he is on IR for the Raiders this year.
Steelers need a speed back that can take it the distance. Taiwan reminds me of Tony Dorsett when he runs. I'd make a trade with the Raiders and give them this years #1 and #2 for Taiwan and the Raiders top pick, then take Mark Barron. Taiwan is expendable because the Raiders already have Darren McFadden at RB, and he is a good one. Barron should be there when the Raiders turn comes to pick.

In that case, I guess making the deal would get more complicated. If Mark Barron ends up in Cincy, thats gonna be like Troy in Pittsburgh. I think Barron will be just as good as Troy was when he came in the league. If I was the Steelers, I'd make a deal with Cincy to move up and get that pick in the Raiders spot that Cincy got. Maybe they'd trade first round spots for a roster player.

I remember during last years draft, i was screaming at the TV for the Steelers to pick Taiwan Jones everytime. I would have taken him in the first round. I'd rather have Taiewan than Hayward. Taiwan Jones was a projected 5th or 6th rounder, I don't know how those "experts" influence people like that.

Mark Barron is the best safety that I've seen besides Troy, Ed Reed, and Ronnie Lott. Barron and Troy in the same defensive backfield would be more than awesome. If we could get Taiwan Jones to go with this awesome wide reciever set, the Packers wouldn't have a chance. The Raiders ave McFadden, so there is a chance for a deal to be made. Maybe they'd trade Taiwan for Mendenhall?

I'm gonna write a petition and send it to Dan Rooney.
