only in johnstown are they called gobs. every where else ive lived they were known as whoopie pies. its a mentality thing im guessing....

I'm pretty sure they're called Gobs in most of Yinzer country, not just in Johnstown. In Amish Country they're definitely referred to as Whoopie Pies though.
