There was a lot more than that play that allowed the Giants to win.  Sometimes the way the stats work out and the way game works are very different.  Whether the Pats were having a bad day or the Giants had the right defense to thwart their efforts is a matter of opinion, but the fact is that the Giants were victorious on that day.  If the game was on Monday maybe the Pats would have benn the winner, no one knows.
