don't they build Honda's in Kentucky, Toyata's in CA, Kia's,Hyundai's,BMW's,and many many others here too?

Chevy claims to have a few over 30mpg vehicles but I doubt the Aveo is built in America the Cobalt may be

What troubles me is that mass transit nationwide is having trouble operating and we are bailing out the car industry. DC's metro system, NYC subway and many other bus systems are laying off or curtailing ops

I think that with the growing urban sprawl, we are going to see more and more trouble with mass transit systems, but it's a real shame to see problems in dense areas like DC and New York.

The NYC subway and mass transit system have been operating fine. Like any other industry, rising cost make budgeting more difficult.

The DC Metro system is not performing fine as proven by the recent tragic accident.
