You really want to get a liberal all discomabulated and foaming at the mouth, just tell them you watch Fox News. This works extremely well on, say distant relatives or family friends who you never much discussed politics with.

To add fuel to the fire, tell them that you really admire Bill O'Rielley.

Why don't we try to respect one another.

It's only racist because Obama is black.  When the same arguments emerged while Clinton was doing the same things, there were no levers and they could not get the "Guilt" vote.  For a few years Hillary was the golden child because the Sexism card was available.  Unfortunately for her the Racism card has a louder voice.  In my opinion Obama is a pawn, he is a smart sincere man but his backing is only to abuse his race for accomplishment of partisan goals.

My personnal fave for a reference to Fox is what Obama calls "The news channel that hates me."   Why does he think it is all about him?

Because it's the one media outlet they don't control.  Don't believe me?  Did you find out about ACORN on MSNBC?  Pretty big story to go unreported, no?

Unreported?? I saw plenty of coverage last nite on cnn. The disdain with fox news comes mostly because they call themselves a news channel but rarely report anything with just news content. There is always a political twist. I watched o'riellys interview with carl rove last nite and actually found it informing. As one who once thought rove was a nut job i now believe he is the sane side of the republican party. The rest of the fox "news" crew should take lessons from this man. He expressed his disapproval of the obama health care plan but refrained from name calling and i find that a breath of fresh air.

Could that be that maybe the entire government machine is corrupt and they, like us should be completely fed up with it?

Ever watch MSNBC?  How much is "plenty of coverage"?  We're at the height of the controversy (although who knows, maybe today they'll help a terrorist get a loan to buy a bomb) and it's not even on CNN's website.  MSNBC finally has a mention of it burried way down on their page, and the story is actually kind of pro-ACORN.

I wonder why the Beef thought Rove was a nutjob but now changed his mind?  Too much of the Obama Network?
I don't even watch Hannity or O'Reilly.  I like to watch Frankenolberman to see what a real nut job looks like.  He must be laughing all the way to the bank.  A failed sportcaster that knows everything about politics?  Yeah right, another talking head reading from a telepromptor, gyrating  like he missed his medication time.

Why do "liberals" hate Fox News? Because they know that "they" (Fox) are hypocrites. Not so, you say? Fox is no more conservative than the next guy. The entire Fox organization is based on making money and pushing the envelope. Case in point: Who owns Fox? Rupert Murdoch, one of the richest men in the world. His specialty, tabloid journalism. You know, like The Sun, The New York Post, and other supermarket rags...When he took over Fox, he turned it into a trashier version of network TV. Don't agree? May I remind you of "Married With Children"? Sure promoted family values, didn't it?

In my opinion, Fox News is nothing more than TV's version of tabloid journalism. Face it, they only report the way they do for ratings. That's all they are in business for. That's all any of the media outlets are concerned about--ratings. That's why we have "sweeps week", where the networks will push the envelope as far as they can to get people to watch.

A few things have surprised me about Mr. Murdoch:

  • In early summer 2008, a "tentative truce" was brokered during a secret meeting between Barack Obama, Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes (President of the Fox News Channel) at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York.[39][40] Obama had initially resisted Murdoch's propositions, despite senior News Corp executives having recruited the Kennedys to act as go-betweens.[40] Obama resented Fox News's portrayal of him "as suspicious, foreign, fearsome - just short of a terrorist," while Ailes said "it might not have been this way if Obama had more willingly come on the air instead of so often giving Fox the back of his hand."[40] A "tentative truce" was agreed upon; Obama would be portrayed more favourably, while Obama would be more willing to appear on Fox.
  • On May 8, 2006, the Financial Times reported that Murdoch would be hosting a fundraiser for Senator Hillary Clinton's (D-New York) Senate reelection campaign.

If you think that Fox News really cares about being "fair and balanced", and would rather report the truth over the quest for higher ratings, well, I have a bridge down by the Point that I'm willing to sell.  Grin

FOX News is designed to upset liberals and to appeal to the nutjobs (Palin fans) amongst Republicans.  Likewise MSNBC is designed to upset conservatives and to appeal to meatheads.

Real Americans shouldn't pay much attention to either.
