OK........one more time. Unless I am mistaken, you do not think Fox News reports the truth. In my narrow conservative mind, I can't come to any other conclusion. The other option is that you feel they do report the truth. Assuming the former, I am asking you for an example of where Fox News reported a lie. Let's review:
1. You are certain Fox is more interested in ratings (and I'm clear that you think everyone is) than reporting the truth.
2. Give me an example.
PSU, you just don't get it... I'm not saying at all that Fox lies. I'm saying that Fox, along with other media outlets, care more about their ratings than they do about their content. Call it truth, call it a lie, call it what you will. To hold one outlet up to some supposed moral standard as compared to others is ludicrous. Sensationalism is what sells papers. Sensationalism is what sells TV. Lies? Not necessarily. Conveniently let out a few facts, don't be objective, sow seeds of doubt, throw in a little innuendo, don't tell both sides of a story, and voila! you have today's news!
Get it straight. Here is what I am saying: If you think that Fox, or any other media, is not interested in ratings, and would gladly give up millions of viewers just so they can report news, without any preconceived notions, then you are gullible. Plain and simple.
Why do you think WJAC tries to woo State College viewers? Because they want to cover the news of that area? Heck no! State College has money. That means more advertising, which means more revenue for the station, which in turn means more profits for the parent company.
