Many of us mentioned that partisan politics is what kills us.   Every election has one fundamental base:

"If in power we will operate in a bipartisan manner to achieve the goals of the American people"

Yet after every election, nearly every bill passes or fails along party lines.  This year we even had one Senator change parties to enhance his chances of remaining in office.
We really need to use the power of our vote to establish term limits for our "Employees".  Some of the members of Congress have served us well, but we should not make waivers for those few.  They were elected and did a good job, so now it's time to elect someone else to do a good job.....

The people can change that 2 party system, but we have to get passed our divides as well.

It speaks so easy, but the task is hard.

Next election we really need to put a change in the house and senate. Most not all on the hill really showed what they were made of the last 8 months. The things Bill Clinton got introuble for pale compared to the hope and change that was elected and running rampant due top the rubber stamp that his policies are getting on the hill.

Ya know I am proud of those Dems that were elected in Red states.  They are some of the very few that are standing the ground laid out to them by their people.

Maybe we should try that reverse tactic more often,  they would have to work much harder at getting re-elected.

I would not call this congress a rubber stamp, they did on the recovery plan but they haven't really on anything else this year.  Some of them learned, once bitten twice shy.

Yes but the recovery plan that they all rubber stamped is going to haunt us for the rest of our life times.

yes but they won't rubber stamp anything for some time to come Thank God.  A rubber stamped healthcare bill could really sink us into the "moneypit of no return."

Thank goodness they wont rubber stamp anything for awhile or hopefully ever again. The health care bill should scare everyone into contacting there reps and sens and giving them an earful. If this passes so to will private health care.
