Great shot pbal!  You're lucky, as I've never seen an Amtrak train that was shiny clean like that one.  All the ones I've captured are a grimy mess.

Thanks fer the beer too!  What a pal  Wink

Why don't we try to respect one another.

Just to carify, it doesn't matter if you make contact through a laurelight comment or the contact page. I get alerted either way. I just wanted to give everyone a second option. If I ever get the site updated (foliage, music fest, ethnic fest, arts fest and more) you won't want to be digging through all the articles to comment the Buzz post.

Shot the photo from behind Quaker Sales. It was a bitch getting back up the wall. Eastbound trains come through @ 10am mon-sat and 2pm sun. Westbound comes through @ 6pm 7/week.

Schedule shows the easbound due in Johnstown at 8:54 Monday - Saturday and 2:54 on Sundy

It't not usually on time, tho Wink

I love taking the train.  That how I got up here from FL.  To watch the scenery change from Palm Trees to Pine Trees.... ahhhh... it was pretty.

When younger, a group of us would take the train down to Pgh for sporting events, shows and shopping.. then either stay overnight somewhere or catch the train back home.  Everyone should ride a train at least once!

Me, too!

For long trips, I definately recommend getting a sleeper.

They do occassionally wash the trains, but yes, they are often ditrty.

Wife and I have made about 25 trips Last one covered 6800 miles.
