Pakistans nukes are indeed a big concern.. If you noticed what happened when the US wanted to impose conditions on the military aid though you'll see they want to maintain their autonomy.

a very long article in today's NYTimes Magazine on McCrystal if ya want to read it look it up

but this is from Afghanistan when the Soviets were attempting to change things and how many of the same mistakes are being made today. Do we even realize that before US funding Freedom Fighters in this country most Afghan girls could attend schools and women did not get punished for not covering their faces in public? Yes we may stay in the fight because it was our policies(beginning with Carter) that have created a Frankenstein never thinking that neighboring Pakistan could ever develop nuclear weapons.
