Well, it was me on Saturday. I just can't get over it.
Big Bro and his friends used to ice skate under the RR bridge in Ferndale. Within a couple of days their blades would be all pitted and mucked up.

Mom and dad thought that my sister and I would enjoy ice skating so they purchased brandy new skates for us. They fit us well, however she and I had one small problem, GRAVITY!

First time I went skating @ the WM, took me an hour to make it around the rink, holding onto the wall the whole time. Took awhile, but I got a little better.

Roller skating was my thing! Is there anywhere in Johnstown to roller skate anymore? Used to hit Roseland in afternoon and then Skateland in evenings... have to admit, life in Johnstown at least for me was good. Always could find something to do!

I don't think there are anymore indoor skating rinks, but I could be wrong. I practically used to live at Skateland for some time.

No more skating rinks in J-Town. Funny thing is my husband and I were just discussing this topic about a month ago. Roseland had a wooden floor, remember? I loved going to skate land on the weekends, I can still remember it as if it were yesterday. I met many of my boyfriends there as a teenager!

I used to love roller skating and ice skating. Cypher Beach is where I roller skated.

I skated at the WM a couple of times, it was a good time. Skateland used to be a regular place for my friends and on weekend evenings. The races were cool and fun to skate in.

I guess we wont have any warm weather this year.
