Anyone have any good places to get some slab wood or fire wood? There used to be a mill off of Widman st but that closed.

Permit, Chainsaw, truck and state game lands.   All the wood you could possible ever want, but you have to work hard for it.

I used to do that, but anything even close to the tram roads or fire roads is history. So you lugging logs through all kinds of crap to your truck.

No we use Rainsburg Mountain, it is easy to get and half the time you can drive right up to where you cut the tree down.
I know a guy down in New Paris that sells it for 50 bucks a pick up load he is about the cheapest around here everyone else wants 70.

If you have the room on your property and a log splitter, get a tri axle load of firewood logs.  It will cost about $500 but well worth it since you aren't getting ate alive by skeeters all summer!  I have a guy who brings it to me.  I think my last load was $525.  PM me if you are interested and I'll give you his number.
