Many whom have never gotten to know military people or what it is like.  When you join an Atheist would feel very, very uncomfortable in that place you are pledging to do your DUTY, with HONOR, for your GOD and COUNTRY.  God is very, very much a part of the military life as He should be.  When you don't know from one day to the next that you will be alive you must have a Great Being to draw strength from.  No mortal man will ever fill those shoes.  God is the only one who drives those kids on into the face of Danger with no real thought of their personal outcome.    You show me one avowled atheist that has thrown their life in exchange of another, and I will show you thousands of Christians that have done the same thing to that one lone Atheist.
