ok Jtown I'm baaaaaaack but you can still catch me on martha or marthas vineyard

Now, back to subject
The ease of getting possession of a gun in this country is why we continue to have occurances like they had in a Pittsburgh suburb last night. Now in the UK the problem is knife injuries but could an enraged ex kill 4 and injure about a dozen in a crazed knife attack
Our right to keep & bear arms will not protect a bunch of chubbies getting in shape wearing their ipods jamming to the oldies now will they?
Will all venues now have metal detectors for your right to have a gun?
We will likely keep on keeping on and so will the killing
Columbine, Virginia Tech, Bridgeville
who's next?
?

Yes it is a scary world and people do stoopid things. The problem is that too many stoopid peoples seem to be getting guns. Our neighbors both to the north & the south have the same issue with weapons because their source is the USofA
The newscasts always carry shootings and the Buffalo killings last night are only overshadowed by the nature of the Bridgeville onslaught
America decided to place controls on gun sales after dear Ronnie was almost killed but I guess we all forgot about what was the problem now haven't we? We shoot doctors dead because we believe a fetus should live.
The US Capital bans guns but it is ok for police to be facing machine guns?
Yes, the UK has issues with knives but at least someone might be able to outrun an attacker because a bullet travels faster than a cheetah and for those cheaters out there they best hope their spouse isn't packing too

Why don't we try to respect one another.

No matter how many symptoms we treat the disease will still be there.
I believe much the problem is that we always blame something other than the bad action for every bad event. It is the gun's fault, it is the alcohol's fault, it is the unsafe highway's fauly, etc etc.
No it is tha human's fauly that chooses to kill, or to ignore safe ways etc.
We need to respect life, and we need to respect those that are different from ourselves.
And we need to give others the freedom to do with their life what they wish.
What the heck maybe, I'll just go postal, afterall someone said something that doesn't fit into my view of how you all should live.

so maybe what America needs is Public Option Healthcare with free visits for all to see their very own shrink
but it didn't stop Anthony Soprano from killing either did it? The only thing about this show with violence is that it was not always guns doing the dirty work - they used beatings, strangulations, suffocations, with an occasional bomb to spice it up

Maybe we simply need to quit thinking that those who have a different opinion, skin color, or way of life, are not evil and a threat to the rest of us.
That is of course except for those that think that any freedom we have, that is not a freedom that we ourselves excercise, should be taken away because it serves no purpose.

So what's the solution? Ban alcohol, cars, guns? Psychos and miscreants will always have access to banned materials. Freedom without responsiblity is a dangerous thing.

GO NAVY, if I had a solution I would be working to get it done. But, I think teaching our kids and grandkids respect for life and others would be a good start. Teaching them that they can do anything they get away with and that someone else or something else is responsible for everything bad that happen certainly is not working.

You answered your own question; Tony and his boys killed or maimed plenty not using a gun. What would you propose to do? Take all guns away from the law abiding citizens? Or, only sale muzzle loaders and single shot pistols? Do you even know if the Pittsburgh shooter had a legally registered hand gun, or did he purchase the gun off the street? Don't blame the gun, blame the individual.
As long as man has been around there has been disturbed neurotic people, sadly that is part of society and living in this world. You take a chance and try to make the best of it. Folks whining, calling for stronger gun laws or wanting guns totally banned is certainly not the answer either.

your right red... responsibility and respect start at a very early age. it's up to the parents to use common sense
and honesty when raising kids.
