Arrest at Walmart leads to charges of racism

Ellis maintains she was merely joining her cousin, whose checkout line was moving more quickly.  So how many of you have done this?  I would never switch lines to join someone with people behind them.  How frakking rude!!

Police say in court documents that Ellis refused requests to calm down and leave the property, allegedly kicking ones shin and splitting another's lip while resisting arrest. Her trial on charges of assaulting police officers, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace begins Wednesday in Dunklin County Circuit Court. Syracuse, N.Y.-based Your Black World Coalition is organizing a Monday rally in Kennett. 

She assaulted the police while being arrested after refusing to leave the property,  how stupid are some people?

As for Ellis' allegations of mistreatment by law enforcement, Sokoloff said he's "seen absolutely no evidence of any kind, apart from her statements, that those things occurred."

I think she got busted jumping line and someone called her on it and then things blew up at the checkout.  How stupid are people nowadays?

She's full of it and got what she deserved.
According the article, the the dispute was over, line jumping or not, she had completed her purchase and thus was done and could have simply left. I don't think "line jumping" is a crime, though it is rude. Looks to me like lots of people including management called her on line jumping, she got po'ed and made a scene-- police show up and she's acting like an ass an gets arrested for disturbing the peace or whatever, she resists and they do what they need to do to finish arresting here. Sucks to be her, no racism I see here, just an a-hole.

No Mam, you destroyed your own future by acting like an idiot! Why is is always the fault of others? She dug her own grave!
