At what point have we, as a society, taken away the meaning of a holiday for commercialism? Already playing Christmas music on a local station.. to me, just a tad bit early. Christmas won't be over and they will start on Valentine's Day. Commercialism at it's peak, what does it say for society?

Why don't we try to respect one another.

Perhaps it says we want our Chrismas goodies, but we want to ignore thanking the maker for what we already have.

As a general rule, I dislike Christmas music.  However there are exceptions to every rule!

Between 1961 and 1988 I spent ONE Christmas I SW PA.  Since 1990 there has been none. Christmas music always made the distance to home seem shorter. Silent Night has special meaning every year.

But, I do prefer it after Thanksgiving.

I have seen them in the past and will probably see them again in Pittsburgh in December.  The concert is astonishing, a treat for the senses.
