weiner the $2,700 is solely each person's share for A SINGLE YEAR of the Defense pie not the debt for all past years defense, medicare, social security, roads, airports and such. The initial post even includes what other socialist countries spend per individual which is actually a much more realistic number if the EXPECTATION is that the USA can do it all. Today on ABC morning talk Sen Bernie Sanders from VT made it clear other peoples around the planet should be helping on the funding IF we increase our Afghan mission and singled out Russia & China although I believe India should also be included.

When geeW went to Iraq with his coalition many thought a gasoline tax to wean our dependency on foreign imports would be wise but because the economy was bad we passed it over. Then we did the same for the surge. Now our economy is still bad and we will likely pass it over again BUT if we are serious about this war endeavor then we will have to PAY for it and a 25cent per gallon or something would make everyone a part of it along with greater tax on the wealthy that geeW/GOP gave huge tax benefits
