The Rock has been completely dumbfounded all  season by the Steelers defense's inability to make plays in the 4th quarter. Sure, the defense continues to be ranked at or near the top of the NFL statistically, but when no one on the defense can make a big play when a big play has to and must be made then statistics become just another big load of monkey crap.

Why don't we try to respect one another.

A defense should not lose a 4th quarter lead three times in a season. The Steelers did it three times in a quarter.

Me thinks, the Steelers will be home watchin' TV in January.

molmarsa...where's your sense of adventure?

That said, I'm not betting any money on the Steelers.

Well let us face the truth, the Steelers suck this year, nough said.

I predict the NO Saints will be the Superbowl Champions.

They lost the Mojo somewhere in the season.

They were 6-2 and lost the past four straight by a combined 15 points.

It isn't so much that they suck, they just forgot how to win.

Even your Uncle Rico could look like John Elway in the 4th quarter against that soft Steelers prevent defense.

I know Mr. J, but when watching the games at the end of them, they suck, at least that is the thought that crosses my mind.  Look at the Pats as well, they have lost their Mojo so to speak as well.  Just isn't our year and we got next year, that is football after all.

What blows my mind is how adult athletes forget basic football skills.  From the first time a kid sets foot on the practice field they are taught to wrap your arms around and drive your legs through a tackle.  This high flying hitting the runner or just run up to and push a player to the ground crap has beat the Steelers many times this year.  Yesterday, the defensive back for the Steelers (forgot which one) basically pushed the receiver INTO the end zone for a touchdown.

I'm not making any excuses for the way the Steelers have played the last four games they have lost in a row, they just haven't played as a team. Usually when the Steelers are lacking offense, the defense steps it up a notch and vice versa, that hasn't been seen very much this year. And, I won't even get into the play of the special teams, the only two bright spots there have been the play of Stephan Logan and thankfully the return of Dan Sepulveda.

As for the defense specifically, I think it really goes to show what happens when you're missing two of the best football players in the game. Some people say one player can't win or lose games for you, it is a team effort, and while that is true, you still can't overlook what players like Troy Po and Aaron Smith bring to the game that ignites the rest of the team to play harder and it's hard to replace two players who seem to be everywhere doing everything. I believe their absence has a lot to do with how the defense has played this year.

And, I'm not a whiner by any means, but I am really getting sick of how many holding calls against James Harrison go uncalled. I counted at least 5 in yesterday's game and I stopped counting in the third quarter.

With that said, I still support the Steelers 100 percent. I guess we just get spoiled because they have been so good and get pissed when they have a bad year. And, when you think about it for a lot of teams a 6-6 record at this point in the season would be a banner year or a dream come true yet for the Steelers it's sub-par.
